Walk Nine
From Waunwhiod

This walk is perfect if you are in the mood for a peaceful stride round the country side. It takes in some little used footpaths and bridleways, as well as incorporating a stretch of the Coast Path. This walk in particular seems to lend itself to solitude.

You begin walking through fields, with views of the Preseli Mountains on one side and the sea on the other. Tracks and lanes then lead you onto the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, heading from Moylegrove towards Poppit Sands, where 40 minutes of rugged walking afford wonderful views and possible seal and dolphin sightings. In early summer the wild flowers on this stretch are something to behold. I find the next stretch of this walk intensely peaceful. Climbing away from the coast, the sea lies quietly in the distance, the silence only broken by the soft sound of the breeze and the ethereal call of skylarks. As you come out onto the small lane leading down to Cippyn there is an atmosphere of almost monastic peace and a timeless quality.

From here, footpaths, tracks and quiet lanes lead you back.
