Walk Fifteen
From Ceibwr Bay

This is a lovely walk, taking in some pretty inland scenery and perfect for those days when it’s just too cold or windy to go up onto the Coast Path. The walk begins at the spectacular Ceibwr Bay and loops inland through a varying landscape of fields and meadows, small lanes, leafy tracks and woodland. It takes you through the Pant Saeson estate where you will see the wall of what was the walled garden and pass through the old stable yard. The route then takes you through the hamlet of Monington, which consists of just three houses (one of which was once a thriving mill) nestled in a very pretty valley.

It’s nice to sit here for a while on the wall of the bridge, watching the stream and taking in the peace of this delightful place. The walk continues through meadows with views of the Monington valley, with its beautiful mature trees, along quiet lanes and finally meanders through lush woodland beside a stream and back towards the coast.

I love this walk.
